Australia announces Ashes squad with more experience players
The Ashes, the oldest and most elite series in Test cricket, is going to be played on the field in a few days. With that in mind, the host Australia has announced a 15-member squad. Batter Usman Khawaja has been returned to the team after two long years.
Fast bowler Xie Richardson has also been named in the squad, with Tim Payne as captain and Pat Cummins as co-captain. However, this team is only for the first two Tests. Michael Nesser and Mitchell Swapson await their Test debuts.
The Ashes series between England and Australia will start on December 6 with the Gabba Test.
